Well folks, today HRC sat and listened to Senator Kerry, Dodd and Lugar heap (and I mean layed it on thick) praise on Senator Clinton and her apparent qualifications for Secretary of State.
It appears to me that this "love fest" is staged for them and them only. If our politicians are this hungry for praise and adoration.....maybe they should run for an academy award. That as we know is another group of people so out of touch with regular Americans, that they must heap a whole helping of adulation on each other's egos so as to claim to be legit in their craft.
Last time I checked a Senator is a public servant. True public servants should always be taken aback by any type of adoration......since that goes against the very purpose of public service.
They seem to have a very high opinion of themselves in Washington these days. To quote Harry S. Truman " My choice early in life was either to be a piano-player in a whorehouse or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference". This from a man who realized the importance of humility. It would appear that the reason for public service these days is to promote a personal set of ideas that go against the general public.
Of course the old adage that ..."regular people just don't understand the complications" is somewhat valid. It is the arrogant and snooty attitudes of the politicians (not all, I might add) that absolutely makes me want to throw up.
I can deal with differences of opinion.......I can't deal with self promoting politards that we the regular folks vote into office.
